TINFROMDEM command

Creates a TIN surface using points from a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) grid.

Method

Opens the Select a DEM format dialog box to choose a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) file format.

The available DEM (Digital Elevation Model) file format are:

  • GeoTIFF (.tiff)
  • USGS Digital Elevation Model (.dem)
  • ESRI Arc/Info Binary Grid (.adf)
  • ESRI ASCII Grid (.asc)

After selecting the file, you can downsample the grid.

Options within the command

Would you like to subsample from grid [820,620] spacing (2.000) units to grid [410,310] spacing (4.000) units?
Allows you to decide whether to keep the original grip spacing.

Keeps the original grip spacing.
