Allowed deviations from center axis dialog box

The Allowed deviation from center axis dialog box allows you to set the level of freedom used when generating an analytical model.

  1. Restricted parallel deviation
  2. Maximal deviation in profile directions
  3. Parallel deviation within profile bounds
  4. Unrestricted parallel deviation
  5. Any deviation

Restricted parallel deviation

Axes remain parallel to the center axis and within the specified distance from the center axis in both profile directions. You can specify the distance in the window.

Maximum deviation in profile directions: 0mm

Maximum deviation in profile directions: 20mm

Parallel deviation within profile bounds

Parallel deviation within profile bounds axes remain parallel to the center axis and do not exceed profile bounds.

Unrestricted parallel deviation

Axes remain parallel to the center axis, but can be placed outside the profile bounds if this is useful to avoid node splits or rigid links.

Any deviation

The main axes remain parallel to the center axis, but tilted axes (with respect to vertical and main horizontal directions) can be allowed to deviate from parallel if it useful to avoid node splits and rigid links. Other axes can move outside of profile bounds.
