Apple compatibility for BricsCAD
Apple introduces big changes with each major release of macOS. These result in a number of applications to break, including BricsCAD.
Support for Ventura (macOS 13)
- BricsCAD V23: is supported with Ventura
Support for Monterey (macOS 12)
- BricsCAD V23: is supported with Monterey
- BricsCAD V22: is supported with Monterey
- BricsCAD V21: is supported with Monterey
- BricsCAD V20 and older versions: are NOT supported with Monterey
Support for Big Sur (macOS 11)
- BricsCAD V23: is supported with Big Sur
- BricsCAD V22: is supported with Big Sur
- BricsCAD V21: is supported with Big Sur
- BricsCAD V20: only V20.2.11 is supported with Big Sur
- BricsCAD V19 and older versions: are NOT supported with Big Sur
Support for MAC hardware running M1 chips
Since V21.2.06, BricsCAD (Mac) works on Rosetta (Intel emulation on M1 chips). A native M1 build is planned in a future version.
Support for MAC hardware running M2 chips
Since V23.1.05, BricsCAD (Mac) works on Rosetta (Intel emulation on M2 chips).
