Right-click menus

Context menus or right-click menus display a list of commands next to the cursor when you right-click.

By default, a context menu appears when you right-click in an empty area of the drawing, when an entity is selected or while a command is active. Its options depend on the current context.

The behavior of context menus is defined by the SHORTCUTMENU system variable.

When bit flag 16 of the SHORTCUTMENU system variable is set along the default bit flags, the context menu is displayed on a long right-click, while a short right-click launches the last used command.

When bit flags 16 and 32 of the SHORTCUTMENU system variable are set along the default bit flags, the context menu is displayed on a long right-click while a short right-click repeats the last used command as long as the Quad is not active.

When bit flag 4 of the QUADDISPLAY system variable and bit flag 16 of the SHORTCUTMENU system variable are set along the default bit flags, a short right-click displays the Quad, while a long right-click displays the context menu.

Note: The SHORTCUTMENUDURATION system variable controls the delay between a right-click and the appearance of the context menu.
