CAD Standards
About
Associates one or more standards (DWS) files to drawing DWG files.
There are two methods to check the compatibility of drawing DWG files with the standards DWS files and validate or ignore the mapping of entities properties.
- Using the CAD Standards commands inside BricsCAD.
- Using the standards_app.exe stand alone application.
Using the CAD Standards commands inside BricsCAD
The CAD Standards commands are listed in the CAD STANDARDS ribbon panel.
-
Launch the STANDARDS command to associate standard DWS files with the working DWG drawing file and choose which plug-ins will be checked.
- Launch the CHECKSTANDARDS command to check for compatibility between desired plug-ins from the current drawing and the standards drawing and validate or ignore the recommended matching.
The LAYTRANS command will be used to associate layers in the current drawing with layers in other drawings or standard drawings.
Using the standards_app.exe stand alone application
The standards_app.exe is a stand alone application stored in the BricsCAD installation folder (by default: C:\Program Files\Bricsys\BricsCAD V25x64).
Run the standards_app.exe application to open the CAD Standards Validation dialog box. The application will check the compatibility between drawing (DWG) files and the standards (DWS) files according to the chosen plug-ins.
