-HATCHEDIT command
Edits hatches via the Command line.
Method
Select an existing hatch or gradient entity to edit the options in the Command line.
Options within the command
- DIsassociate
- Removes the associative property of the selected hatch or gradient entity.
- Style
- Defines the behavior of the hatch when there are additional boundaries within a closed hatch boundary.
- Nested
- Applies alternating hatch patterns if a closed boundary contains additional boundaries, starting with the outermost boundary.
- Outer
- Applies the hatch pattern only to the outermost boundary, excluding nested interior boundaries.
- Ignore
- Applies the hatch pattern to the selected boundary, ignoring and hatching over any nested interior boundaries.
- Properties
- Allows you to specify a hatch pattern name, scale and angle, or to change the pattern to Solid fill, User defined or Gradient.
- ? to list patterns
- Lists in the Prompt History window the names of predefined hatch patterns.
- Solid fill
- Changes the selected hatch or gradient entity pattern to a solid color fill.
- User defined
- Changes the hatch type to User defined. Set the hatch pattern angle for lines, space between standard pattern lines and cross-hatch area to customize the hatch.Note: If a gradient is edited to a User defined type, it is automatically converted to a hatch. The gradient properties are not preserved.
- Proceed
- Applies your changes and closes the command.
- Gradient
- Changes the selected hatch into a gradient by entering a gradient pattern name in the Command line.
- ? to list patterns
- Lists gradient patterns in the Command line.
- Single color
- Allows you to choose a gradient color and its shade or tint value.
- Two color
- Allows you to choose two gradient colors.
- Truecolor
- Defines the color by specifying the numeric values for the red, green, blue values in the Command line.
- COlorbook
- Defines the color by entering the name of an existing color book in your system.Note: The COLORBOOKPATH system variable specifies the folder(s) in which BricsCAD® should look for color book files.
- DRaw order
- Assigns a display order to the selected hatch or gradient entity.
- None
- Removes the display order assigned to the selected hatch or gradient entity.
- send to Back
- Assigns the display order of the selected hatched or gradient entity behind all other overlapping entities.
- bring to Front
- Assigns the display order of the selected hatch or gradient entity in front of all other overlapping entities.
- send beHind boundary
- Assigns the display order of the selected hatch behind its boundary.
- bring in front of bounDary
- Assigns the display order of the selected hatch or gradient entity in front of its boundary.
- ADd boundaries
- Extends the hatch area by specifying an internal point within a boundary.
- Select entities
- Allows you to extend the hatch area by selecting an entity to use as boundary.
- Remove boundaries
- Reduces the hatch area by selecting a boundary-defining entity for removal.
- recreate Boundary
- Recreates the boundary of a hatch or gradient entity by specifying the boundary entity type, after which you can choose if the hatch is associated with the new boundary.
- Region
- Transforms the new boundary into a region entity.
- Polyline
- Transforms the new boundary into a polyline entity.
- ASsociate
- Associates the hatch or gradient entity to a selected boundary by specifying an internal point within it.
- Select entities
- Allows you to select an entity to use as boundary, instead of specifying an internal point within the boundary.
- separate Hatches
- Splits the selected hatch or gradient entity by creating individual hatch entities for each closed area.
- Origin
- Specifies a new value for the hatch or gradient entity origin by either entering point coordinates or selecting the point in the drawing.
- ANnotative
- Sets the annotative property for the hatch or gradient entity and applies the current annotative scale. Note: The current annotative scale is defined by the CANNOSCALE system variable.
- LAyer
- Specifies the layer for the selected hatch or gradient entity. Either the current or a new specified layer can be chosen.
- hatch COlor
- Allows you to change the color of the hatch entity, starting with the color of the pattern and continuing with the color of the background.
- Truecolor
- Defines the color by specifying the numeric values for the red, green, blue values in the Command line.
- COlorbook
- Defines the color by entering the name of an existing color book in your system.
- . (for use current)
- Applies the current color value as defined by the CECOLOR system variable.
- Transparency
- Allows you to change the transparency of the selected hatch or gradient entity.
- 0
- Changes the transparency to the minimum value, making the hatch fully opaque.
- 90
- Changes the transparency to the maximum value, giving the hatch maximum transparency.Note: The transparency level is limited to a value of 90 to avoid confusion with layers that are frozen or turned off.
- ByLayer
- Changes the transparency to the transparency of the layer.
- ByBlock
- Changes the transparency to the transparency of the block.
- . for use current
- Applies the current transparency value as defined by the CETRANSPARENCY system variable.
- Undo
- Undoes the last action.
