POINTCLOUDGEOGRAPHICLOCATION command

Sets the geographic location based on point cloud.

Sets the geographic location based on point cloud; sets point cloud transform based on geographic location; relatively aligns two point clouds.

Note: Only LAS and LAZ file formats can make use of this functionality.

Method

There are three methods:

  • Geolocation
  • Transform
  • Relative

Options within the command

Geolocation
Allows to set a geographic marker in the DWG based on a point cloud with geographic location.
Transform
Updates the point cloud transform based on a geographic location in the DWG, as well as the geographic information in the point cloud.
Relative
Relatively aligns two point clouds if both contain a geographic location.
