-XBIND command
Binds to the current drawing one or more definitions of named entities from an attached Xref via Command line.
Description
Binds definitions of named entities (symbols) from the attached Xref and allows you to use them as any other named entities in the current drawing.
Method
Choose which types of symbol to bind to the drawing and insert the dependent entity name in the Command line. You have to first specify the Xref name, then add the vertical bar character "|" and dependent symbol name.
Note: After the bind is done, the vertical bar character "|" from each Xref dependent entity is replaced with a number (usually 0) between two dollar signs ($).
Options within command
- Blocks
- Allows you to bind to the current drawing one or more blocks from the attached Xref.Note: Any block, dimension style, layer, linetype, or text style that is referenced by entities in the block is also bound.
- Dimension styles
- Allows you to bind to the current drawing the dimension styles from the attached Xref.
- LAyers
- Allows you to bind to the current drawing the layers from the attached Xref.Note: To bind a layer whose associated linetype is not CONTINUOUS, the command also binds the referenced linetype.
- LineTypes
- Allows you to bind to the current drawing the line types from the attached Xref.
- text Styles
- Allows you to bind to the current drawing the text styles from the attached Xref.
