Smooth Surface dialog box
Opens via: TINEDIT command
The Smooth Surface dialog box allows you to smooth a TIN surface by adding additional points.

- Smoothing method
- Adding points
- Smoothing area
- Grid X spacing
- Grid Y spacing
- Grid rotation
- Number of added points
- Smoothing method
- Displays the method for smoothing the TIN surface.
The Natural neighbor interpolation algorithm finds the closest subset of input samples to a query point and applies weights to them based on proportionate areas to interpolate a value.
- Adding points
- Displays the method for adding points to the TIN surface.
- Smoothing area
- Defines the area for smoothing. You can choose to smooth the Entire surface or a Selected area. To select the area, click the right side arrow to define the area in the Model space.
- Grid X spacing
- Sets the grid X spacing value. You can also define it by clicking the distance in the Model space.
- Grid Y spacing
- Sets the grid Y spacing value. You can also define it by clicking the distance in the Model space.
- Grid rotation
- Sets the rotation value. You can also define it by clicking the desired angle in the Model space.
- Number of added points
- Displays the number of points that will be added to the TIN surface.
