Dialog boxes

Dialog boxes are graphical user interface elements that allow you to interact with the software.

Usually, a dialog box contains fields for entering data, drop-down menus for selecting an option, buttons for confirming or canceling an action, or additional information.

Tip: Press the Esc key to cancel or close a dialog box. You can also click the Cancel or X button, if available.

Dialog boxes can be:

  • Modal: temporarily blocks you from accessing the rest of the BricsCAD software until it is closed.
Note: Most of the dialog boxes available in BricsCAD are modal.
  • Modeless: lets you use the rest of the BricsCAD software while it is open.
