Updated LetsBuild configuration using OAuth2

Synchronization with LetsBuild is now handled via OAuth2. With this update, administrators must log in to LetsBuild and explicitly grant Bricsys 24/7 permission to access folders, replacing the previous username and password method.

Existing syncs will continue to function for now, but updating the configuration is required to ensure uninterrupted use of the LetsBuild integration, as the old login method will soon be deprecated.

Notification

If any existing syncs are still using the previous username and password method, administrators will receive a notification under the bell icon prompting you to take action.

Granting consent to sync with LetsBuild

Setting up a new synced folder or updating an existing one now requires a LetsBuild login.

The LetsBuild login steps are the following:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Project setup > Options > Synced folders overview.
  2. Select a folder that requires configuration and click Login.
  3. A new browser tab will open, redirecting you to the LetsBuild login page.
  4. Log in using your LetsBuild credentials.
  5. Grant Bricsys 24/7 permission to access your projects and folders.
  6. After successful authentication, a confirmation page will be displayed.
  7. Close the tab.

Once consent is granted for a LetsBuild account, all synced folders linked to that account will automatically switch to using OAuth2.

Note:
  • Consent is linked to the Bricsys 24/7 user account, which means users can authorize only one LetsBuild account. Logging in with another LetsBuild account will overwrite the existing configuration.
  • If a synced folder was originally configured with a different LetsBuild account and the user wishes to continue using that account, the owner of that LetsBuild account must log in and give consent.
  • Alternatively, the user can reconfigure the sync using their own LetsBuild account authorization.
