Why is the workflow task assigned to another user?

If you notice that a workflow task is assigned to another user rather than one of the users that are part of the role assigned to the task, it probably has to do with access rights.

Access rights

Once a workflow activity becomes active and the user does not have access to the item, the workflow coordinator will be assigned automatically to the activity.

To fix this, an administrator of the project will need to give the role of the user access to the folder in order to view the item.

Reassign actor

Once this is done, the coordinator of the workflow can open the task assigned to his or her name and use the reassign task button (1) to reassign another user.
