Select entities 
Specifies the entities that will be sliced. Choose one or more 3D solids or surfaces; this command does not work with 2D regions. 
Specify first point on slicing plane 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane which is perpendicular to the XYplane of the current coordinate system, defined by two points; prompts you:
The sliced entity can be separated and its two parts manipulated as independent entities: 
Object 
Slices solids and surfaces with an intersecting entity; the entity defines the plane that slices the 3D selected entities. Prompts you: Select a circle, ellipse, arc, 2Dspline, 2Dpolyline, planar 3d Solid face, planar Surface face, or planar region  (choose an entity. In addition to the entities listed by the prompts, you can also use an elliptical arc.) To use a planar 3D solid face as the slicing plane, ensure that the Select Faces option of the SELECTIONMODES system variable is on. 
Surface 
Slices solids and surfaces with a surface; prompts you: Select a surface  (select a surface entity.) 
Zaxis 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane defined by one point on the plane, and a second point on the plane's normal (z axis); prompts you:
The section plane is defined by the centroid of the front face of the cube (1) and the Z axis through this point and a corner of the cube (2). The section plane is perpendicular to line 12. 
View 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane defined by the current 3D viewpoint; prompts you: Specify a point on the current view plane  (pick a point to define the height of the plane.) The section plane is perpendicular to the view direction and passes through the picked point. 
XY 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane parallel to the XYplane of the current coordinate system; prompts you: Specify a point on the XYplane  (pick a point to define the position of the slicing plane.) 
YZ 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane parallel to the YZplane of the current coordinate system; prompts you: Specify a point on the YZplane  (pick a point to define the position of the slicing plane.) 
ZX 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane parallel to the ZXplane of the current coordinate system; prompts you: Specify a point on the ZXplane  (pick a point to define the position of the slicing plane.) 
Linepoint 
Slices solids and surfaces with a plane defined by a linear entity and a point; prompts you:

Related Commands
BimSplit  splits segmented solids into separated solids and allows to split a solid using a selection of cutting faces.
