Locks the layer associated with an entity selected in the drawing; locked layers can be seen but not edited (short for "layer lock").
Note: Use the Layer command to unlock specific layers that were locked with this command, or else use the LayUnlk command to unlock all layers in the drawing at once.

Locked layers can be shown faded. The LAYERLOCKFADECTL variable sets the fading level between 0 (no fading) and 90 (very faded).
