The Etransmit command creates a package of a drawing file and its dependencies, such as external references, images, font files, plot configuration files, plot style tables and font map files. All copied to a folder and optinally compressed in a ZIP file.
Accessing the Command

Displays the Drawing Explorer dialog box's Dependencies section:

New - adds files to the transmittal package.
eTransmit - package files from the current drawing; displays a dialog box:
Checkboxes - includes (on) and excludes (off) files from the transmittal.
Select/Deselect all font files - includes (on) and excludes (off) font files; you may want to exclude font files that are covered by copyright.
Select/Deselect all font files - includes (on) and excludes (off) external attachments; you may want to exclude xrefs to save on file size.
Transmit - moves on to another eTransmit dialog box.
Displays a dialog box:
Destination folder - specifies the folder in which to place the transmittal files; you cannot transmit the file until you specify a folder.
Save format - converts the DWG files to earlier releases:
If file exists - determines whether to overwrite a transmittal file of the same name.
Output - determines the format of the transmittal package:
Send email - attaches the ZIP file to an email in your computer's default email program.
ZIP file - (optional, if ZIP output selected) specifies the name of the transmittal file.
Update image paths - change the paths to image files to match the new folder structure (see below).
Update xref paths - change the paths to xref files to match the new folder structure (see below).
How to organize files:
Transmit - combines the files into a folder or ZIP file, and then displays a report dialog box.
Displays a dialog box that summarizes the transmittal:
Mail - attaches the current drawing to an email message using your computer's default email software.
