Welcome to Bricsys 24/7!
Welcome to Bricsys 24/7, a cloud-based Common Data Environment (CDE) collaboration solution. It was designed to help teams connect in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) business.
We have a strong focus on Document Control with a live document viewer that supports 70+ formats including DWG, IFC, DOC, Excel, PDF... Automating document process controls, adding extra data to those files and BIM management.
Bricsys 24/7 requires a recent browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari 7 or higher, Internet Explorer 9 (limited functionality) or higher.
In order to work with Bricsys 24/7 a project administrator needs to grant you access to a project. You’ll receive an email in your inbox with the invitation and the possibility to set your password.
On the home screen you need to login with your credentials:
- Email address
Remember that you can set your password by clicking the "choose or reset your password" link in the invitation mail.
You can also click the "Forgot password" link on the login screen which will send you an email with a unique link to reset your password.
Once logged in and you have access to multiple projects, the project list is shown. Click on one of the projects to open the project. If you only have access to one project, you are taken right into your project.
Once the project opens, the Dashboard App is shown which gives you an overview of all the items you have access to over the last week. All the new documents that were uploaded, events to take into account during the coming days, tasks that need to be done…
The left part of Bricsys 24/7 is filled with apps. Depending on your access rights you may see more or less apps appear in the bar.
The most important app is the “Structure app”, which contains all the information you have access to for the entire project. It’s the only app that has access to documents and binder folders.
Documents are the core of Bricsys 24/7. In the Structure App you can work with documents by selecting one of the document folders.
Once you open a document folder, a list of existing documents which you have access to is displayed. The columns display the name, description, author, size and the inspector column on the right that quickly indicates eg. how many revisions a document has.
Click on the "..." on the top right to toggle columns. If a document folder has metadata, the metadata columns can be toggled here as well.
Click on the document name to open the details dialog. With the details open you can go through each document by clicking the <> buttons on the top right of the dialog or using the arrow keys on your keyboard.
The details dialog is divided in different categories by the tabs on the top. Click on the preview to open the document in our online viewer.
The beating heart of Bricsys 24/7 is the communication in the project. Bricsys 24/7 offers multiple ways to communicate with project members.
Notify other members about a document, event… They will receive an email with your notification and a link to the item.
Want to at a sticky note to a document, public or private, you choose. It’ll be available over all the revisions of the document.
Annotations are a great tool to mark an area on a document and write your remark about it. It’s like a note on a specific revision for a specific area.
During a document approval process, use annotations to add your remarks about the document you're reviewing.
Do you like plain old email messages but don’t like the fact they get lost in everyone’s inbox? Use our Message app to send email messages that stay in Bricsys 24/7.
If you cannot send a notification or assign members in a note or mail message, this means that the administrator of the project did not give you access to communicate with other members of the project.
Remember that you can only add recipients who have access to the item.
If you have open tasks assigned to you, they will be shown in the Dashboard App and in the MyTasks app in the app bar on your left.
The MyTasks app will indicate the amount of tasks you have pending with a red box on the top right of the app icon.
Easily click on a task to get more information about what is asked of you, the document and the workflow used in the process and respond to the question.
