Saves a copy of the block definition being edited in the drawing or as a separate drawing.
Accessing the Command
If launched when executing the BEDIT command, displays a dialog box:
If launched when executing the -BEDIT command, prompts you:
Block name or ? to list existing blocks: (Type a name.)
Save definition to drawing file? [Yes/No] <No>: (Press Enter to save the block definition in the current drawing;k choose Yes, then press Enter to save to a drawing file.)
|Block to save||
Defines the block name. Do one of the following:
|Save block definition
to drawing file
Allows to save the block as a separate drawing file.
When selected, a File dialog displays. Do the following:
|OK||Saves a copy of the block definition.|
|Cancel||Exits the command without saving.|
BEdit - edits blocks.
-BEdit - prompts for a block name at the command line, and then opens the Block Editor environment
Block - groups entities into a block (symbol), which can be reused in drawings.
SaveAs - saves drawings in DWG drawing, DWT template, and DXF interchange formats; always displays a dialog box.
WBlock - writes blocks and other drawing parts to files on disk through a dialog box.
