- You need a BricsCAD Platinum and Mechanical licenses for this tutorial.
- Open the Front_Idler_Assembly.dwg file.
- Click the Explode (
) tool button on the Tools panel of the Assembly tab on the Ribbon.
- Select the Settings, Bottom option to create an exploded view to the bottom level of all components.
- Click the Linear options on the BmExplode Prompt menu to create an exploded representation of assemblies in a given direction.
- Select X-axis on BmExplode Prompt menu as the direction.
- Enter 3000 in dynamic dimension as the distance.
- To edit, click the Edit option on the BmExplode Prompt menu to open the exploded representation.
- Select the 4 DIN 933 bolts.
- Select Move (
) from the Model section of the Quad, move the bolts 400 on the X-axis.
- Select the Linear_Bottom_1 node in the Mechanical Browser.
- Click Add new step from the context menu.
- Select the 2 pins.
- Select Move (
) from the Model section of the Quad. Move all Pins 400 on the Z-axis.
- Select the Linear_Bottom_1 node in the Mechanical Browser.
- Click Add new step from the context menu.
- Select the wheel and related parts with Green Crossing Window Selection.
- Click the Explode Move (
) tool button on the Tools panel of the Assembly tab on the Ribbon.
- Select the wheel as the base part.
- Select Y-axis on BmExplodeMove Prompt menu as the direction.
- Enter 1000 with dynamic dimension as a distance.
- Select Steps 15-20 of the Linear_Bottom_1 node on the Mechanical Browser.
- Click Merge with previous from the context menu.
- Select Step 20 of the Linear_Bottom_1 node on the Mechanical Browser.
- Change Duration type to Absolute and Duration value to 500 on the bottom part of the Mechanical Browser.
- Select the Linear_Bottom_1 node in the Mechanical Browser.
- Click Animate from the context menu.
- Click the BClose and Save (
) tool button on the Block Edit toolbar.
