CONVERTLAYOUT command (Experimental)

Converts a layout containing unsupported views into a supported format.

Disclaimer

Incompatible layout conversion is an experimental feature which may not yet be stable, and could be removed in the future. Use the MANAGEEXPERIMENTALFEATURES command to enable or disable experimental features.

The Experimental mode is disabled by default. Enabling or disabling the Experimental mode requires a restart of BricsCAD®.

Description

Creates a new layout based on the specified one and replaces the unsupported views with compatible versions. The original layout maintains its compatibility with other DWG software.

Method

Specify the name of an existing layout to convert.

Note: If the specified layout is already converted or does not require conversion, a message appears in the Command history. You can choose to convert it anyway or not.

If you open a drawing that includes a layout containing incompatible views, a warning dialog opens.

Convert to BricsCAD-native views while preserving the original layout
Creates and converts a copy of the layout. Choose which layouts to convert from the drop-down list.
Skip conversion
Does not convert any layouts.
Don't show again
Prevents the warning dialog from appearing in future sessions. This option can be modified using the LAYOUTCONVERSION system variable.
