PYRAMID command
Creates a 3D Solid in the shape of a pyramid.

Alias: PYR
Note: In BricsCAD Lite, which doesn’t support 3D Solids, the
PYRAMID command launches the AI_PYRAMID command.
Description
Creates a 3D Solid in the shape of a pyramid with at least three sides. Choose from a
combination of options including center, edge, radius, sides, height, and axis. The
pyramid can have a pointed or flat top.
Methods to create a pyramid
This command has 2 methods to begin creating a pyramid:
- Specify center point
- Edge
- Specify center point
- Begin creating a pyramid by specifying the center for the base of the pyramid then:
- Base radius
- Specify the distance from the center to a vertex as if the base is inscribed in a circle.
- Height
- Specify the height of the pyramid.
- Edge
- Begin creating a pyramid by specifying the first endpoint for an edge of the base then:
- Specify second point of edge
- Specify the second point of the edge to define its length and angle in the xy-plane.
- Specify height
- Specify the height of the pyramid.
Options within the PYRAMID command
After you begin creating a pyramid, the following options may be available:
- Sides
- Specify the number of sides or vertices for the base.
- Circumscribed
- Specify the distance from the center to a midpoint on an edge as if the base is circumscribed about a circle.
- 2Point
- Specify the height of the pyramid as the distance between any two points.
- Axis endpoint
- Specify the axis endpoint to define the height and orientation of the pyramid in 3D space. The center of the base is used as the other axis endpoint.
- Top radius
- Specify the distance from the center of the top face to a vertex as if the top face is inscribed in a circle. Any radius larger than zero (0) creates a pyramid with a flat top.
