Hotkey Assistant widget
Description
The Hotkey Assistant widget is an interactive tool in BricsCAD® that provides quick access to relevant command options and shortcuts during specific actions. By default, the Hotkey Assistant widget is On and appears at the bottom center of the screen.
To turn On or Off the Hotkey Assistant widget:
- Use the HOTKEYASSISTANT system variable.
- Left-click the HKA button in the Status Bar.
Note: The Hotkey Assistant widget is only available for certain commands.
When the Hotkey Assistant widget is On, it automatically appears during supported commands and disappears when the command ends.

- Informs you to press the Ctrl key on the keyboard to switch between the widget options.

- Displays the options within the widget.Note: The options within the widget depend on the command you launched.
- Dismiss
- Dismisses the currently displayed Hotkey Assistant widget and deactivates it for the current command.
Deactivating or reactivating the widget for certain commands or actions
The Hotkey Assistant Configuration dialog box allows you to deactivate or reactivate the widget for certain commands or actions.
To open the Hotkey Assistant Configuration dialog box, right-click the HKA button in the Status Bar and click the Configure... option.
Note: The Hotkey Assistant widget appears only for the Hotkey Hints that are checked.
