OFFSET3D command
Creates a copy of an entity at a specified offset distance and elevation difference from the original.

Description
Creates copies of lines, polylines, 3D polylines, or Civil Strings, and aligns them parallel to the original entity at a specified offset distance and elevation difference.
Note: The SELECTIONMODES system variable controls what is selected by default (whole entities, subentities or boundaries) to avoid potential conflicts.
Method
Enter the offset distance, then the elevation difference and select the side for parallel copy.
Options within the command
- Enter offset distance
- Specifies the distance between the original entity and its parallel copy.
- Both Sides
- Places the offset copies on both sides of the entity.
- Through point
- Specifies the offset distance by picking a point in the drawing area.
- Grade
- Allows you to specify a grade in %.
- Slope
- Allows you to specify a slope (1:x).
- Elevation
- Specifies the elevation difference between the original entity and its parallel copy.
- Erase
- Toggles whether to delete the source entity after the offset operation or not.
- Layer
- Specifies the layer on which to place the copied entity.
- Current
- Places the offset entity on the current layer.
- Source
- Places the offset entity on the same layer as the source entity.
- Exit
- Exits the command.
