VERSIONCONTROL command
Enables multi-user collaboration.
Description
Enables multi-user collaboration by storing and managing projects in the cloud. Drawings are stored in the cloud using Bricsys® 24/7 and checked in and out from each user's local machine.
- Log into your Bricsys account.
- Choose New Support Request.
- Open the BricsCAD® menu and choose .
- In the Subject field enter: Access to VERSIONCONTROL Beta.
- Fill in the rest of the fields as needed.
- Choose Send Support Request.
Method
The first time you launch VERSIONCONTROL in a new BricsCAD® session and choose one of the options, it prompts you to log into your Bricsys account.
If your account has not been granted access to the beta functionality, it directs you to a web page with instructions to request access.
If your account has access to the beta functionality, your successful login is indicated in the Command window and it prompts you to enter the name of the project on which you want to work.
Options within the command
- Init
- Creates a new multi-user project in Bricsys® 24/7.
Allows you to log in to your Bricsys account via the Bricsys website. For more information on how to log in, see the Log in with your Bricsys account article.
- Project name
- Once logged in, specify the name for the new project. If the project name already exists, you are prompted to specify a different project name.
- CReate local
- Creates a new local version control project by entering the path of the considered folder to create a project from.
- check Out
- Checks out a drawing from your Bricsys® 24/7 projects.
- CHeck In
- Checks in drawings from your local version control folder to the associated Bricsys® 24/7 project.
- All
- Checks in all files in the version control folder.
- Commit
- Commits a list of modified and untracked files.
- Update
- Syncs project drawings from your local folder with the associated Bricsys® 24/7 project.
- Revert
- Reverts to previous state.
- REname
- Renames a drawing that is under version control.
- History
- Enables you to go to older versions.
