Creates dimensions for chamfers.

Note: This command only works for drawings that contain mechanical entities. To set the environment for BricsCAD Mechanical drawings, see the Overview of 2D Mechanical Drawings commands article.

Description

Automatically creates dimensions for chamfers. Different chamfer representations can be selected from the Chamfer Settings dialog box.

Note: This command is a shortcut to the chaMfer option of the PDIM command.

Method

Select the chamfer line and the two adjacent lines to create the chamfer dimension.

Note:
  • If Rep. 3 or Rep. 12 are selected as chamfer representations, also choose an insertion point for the dimension text.
  • If any chamfer representation other than Rep. 1 is selected, the Text Formatting toolbar opens to customize the dimension text. For more information see the Creating text article.

Options within the command

Representation
Opens the Chamfer Settings dialog box to choose the chamfer style. For more information, see the Chamfer Settings dialog box article.
eXit
Exits the command.
