Description
Opens the Open file dialog box to select a file to open in the drawing editor.
- Supported open file formats available with BricsCAD® Lite and above:

- Standard Drawing File (*.dwg)Warning: The minimum supported version of AutoCAD® Mechanical drawings is AutoCAD® Mechanical 2012, and the maximum is AutoCAD® Mechanical 2021. If you try to open an ACM drawing created with an unsupported version, a warning notification message appears: "The version of this AutoCAD® Mechanical DWG file is not supported in BricsCAD Mechanical. Unsupported files may show proxy entities or, in some cases, be permanently damaged when saved. To prevent these issues, we recommend saving the file in the latest supported version (2021) before reopening it in the BricsCAD. Would you like to try opening it in read-only mode for viewing?".
You can choose from the following options:
- Yes: Opens the drawing in read-only mode and allows you to view and possibly edit the drawing without saving it.
- No: Stops opening of a drawing and returns you to the previous state/screen.

- Supported open file formats available with BricsCAD® Pro and above:
