Selects all entities of the same type as the selected one, having the same properties as those defined in the SELECTSIMILAR system variable.
Method
Select one or more entities and choose the properties based on which you will make the selection. When you exit the command, the entities that match the types and properties are shown as dashed and with entity grips.
Note: For this command to operate as intended, at least one property must be selected.
Options within the command
SEttings
Displays a dialog box to select the properties.
Note: The value of the SELECTSIMILARMODE system variable will be updated according to the selected properties in this dialog box.
Color
Adds the entities that have similar colors to the selection set.
Layer
Adds the entities on matching layers to the selection set.
Linetype
Adds the entities with matching linetype to the selection set.
Linetypescale
Adds the entities with matching linetypescale to the selection set.
Plot style
Adds the entities with matching plot style to the selection set.
Object style
Adds the entities with matching styles (such as text styles, dimension styles, and table styles) to the selection set.
Name
Adds referenced objects (such as blocks, xrefs, and images) with matching names to the selection set. Also, adds unnamed objects of the same type (such as lines and circles) to the selection set.
