Create Section View dialog box

Opens via:

  • SECTIONVIEWS command
  • Civil Explorer panel > context menu of a Section Views > Create section views option

The Create Section Views dialog box allows you to create section views.

Section view information

Allows you to set the layer and style for section views.

Layer
Sets the layer for section view by selecting it from the drop-down list.
Style
Sets the style for section view by selecting it from the drop-down list.

Press the three dots from the right side to open the Select Style dialog box, where you can edit or copy a section view style.

Section line group

Displays the section line group name.

Frame settings

Opens the Frame Settings dialog box to set the width and the height of the frames.

Station range

Allows you to define the station range.

Start station
Allows you to set the start station, either by selecting it from the drop-down list or by selecting it in the drawing.
End station
Allows you to set the end station, either by selecting it from the drop-down list or by selecting it in the drawing.

Placement of section views

Allows you to define how section views are arranged in the drawing.

Number of columns
Allows you to set the number of columns.
Gap between columns
Allows you to set the gap between columns.
Number of rows
Allows you to set the number of rows.
Gap between rows
Allows you to set the gap between rows.

Data sources

Lists the selected data sources for the current section line group.

You can deselect data sources that you want to be removed from the section views.

Also, for some data sources you can change the style.

Manage data sources button
Opens the Manage Data Sources dialog box.

Clip gridlines to

When ticked, it allows you to set the clip gridlines to from the drop-down list.
