Disclaimer

Creating and editing dynamic block definitions under BEDIT in Experimental mode is an experimental feature which may not yet be stable, and could be removed in the future.

Use the MANAGEEXPERIMENTALFEATURES command (or the EXPERIMENTALMODE system variable) to turn on or off experimental features, then restart BricsCAD®.

The Experimental mode is turned off by default.

Important: In the event that you purchase BricsCAD® in the U.S. or for use in the U.S., this feature is neither available nor licensed to you. Please see EULA for more information.

Description

Opens the Create or Edit Block Definition dialog box to specify a block to open in the Block Editor. The HIDEOBJECTS, ISOLATEOBJECTS, and UNISOLATEOBJECTS commands are enabled.

Note: In Experimental mode, BEDIT supports dynamic block editing mode, in addition to the existing parametric editing mode. Static blocks can be edited in either mode and kept static. Existing dynamic and parametric blocks can only be edited in their respective BEDIT mode (see BEDITMODE system variable). Constraint parameters are visible when present but they are not yet supported.

The Create or Edit Block Definition dialog box allows you to select an existing block definition to edit, or to enter a new name to create a new block definition.

Note: If the Experimental mode is activated, the Edit mode settings become available in the dialog box.
