BIMADDDETAILREFS command
Creates a link between a master model and a detail file.

Description
The command is used to place detail references in a master model.
- A detail reference is a solid in the model.
- The solid is a Detail BIM type, which means that it stores the unique id of a detail in the database.
- The detail reference is a link between a place in the master model and a detail.
Note: The detail reference is placed on the DETAIL_VOLUME layer.
Method
Choose a detail to insert as detail reference. Then, choose one of the two modes to add detail references.
Options within the command
- Existing solid
- You can promote existing solids to detail references by simply clicking on solids. This mode is the easiest one to use, but you must create the solids upfront.
- Selection extents
- Generates a directed bounding box around (sub)entities selected by the user. You have the option to inflate this box. The generated box will be promoted to a detail reference.
