Description
Opens the Test Block Window to test a dynamic or parametric block definition within the block editing session.
In the Test Block Window you can test the current block definition by using dynamic grips or by opening the Properties panel and adjusting its parameters without saving the modifications to the block definition.
Note: This command is only available in the Block Editor and DBlock Editor. Run the BEDIT command or double-click the block you wish to edit to start a block editing session.
Method
Open a block editing session, then run the BTESTBLOCK command at the Command line to open the Test Block Window. The current block definition in the Block Editor or DBlock Editor is reflected in the Test Block Window.
After you test the block you can:
- Save the block definition opened in the Test Block Window with a different name (BSAVEAS command).
- Run the CLOSE command to close the Test Block Window and discard the temporary file.
- Save or close the block editing session. The Test Block Window is automatically closed.
- Launch again the BTESTBLOCK command in the block editing session. The current Test Block Window is automatically closed and a new window with the current definition is opened.
Note: The BEDIT command is not available in the Test Block Window. Close the Test Block Window to return to the block editing session.
